I stumbled upon something remarkable this morning, an interesting article in SMP! http://www.smp.se/nyheter/tt_utrikes/fransk-strejk-mot-hojd-pensionsalder(2118387).gm
These kind of quarrels and skirmishes are going to be more common in the future when governments all across the world are forced to raise retirment age. (socio-economic consequence of an ageing population)
The fact that according to me is most amazing is that the French silently watch the Romani being deported out of their country, the camps being demolished and not doing a thing - but the moment the governent touches the issue of raising the pensions (with only a few years) there are massive protests all over France.
SvaraRaderaI agree, there seems to be a lot of hidden prejudice and racism in the French society, to the extent that EU members can be thrown out of France without too many people raising their eyebrows, while when the government tries to change pensions, the French hit to the streets. It's not entirely true, I've seen protests against the Romany eviction in France, from all faiths and from both right- and left wing politicians.
